Michael Schenker
Paul Chapman
Vinnie Moore
Or Mick Bolton?
This could be a hard question for anyone, because none of these players are slumps. They all showcase their talents in many different ways, and they all made great music. My favorite is Michael Schenker because of his feeling to his playing, because it is so great. Who is your favorite?
I guess most will say Schenker (including me) , don't forget Paul Chapman , he was outstanding, especially trying to fill Schenkers' shoes...
ReplyDeleteI highly agree with you that Paul Chapman was outstanding. Whether it was riffs or the solos he always sounded great. He did an amazing job filling in for Michael. That's why it could be a very close match. Thanks for commenting.
DeleteLawerence Archer was a great player too. The High Stakes and Dangerous Men cd.
ReplyDeleteYou know Archer is a guitar player I'm looking forward to hearing. I haven't had a chance to buy High Stakes yet, but it is the next album I'm looking to get.
DeleteMick Bolton Is Sadly Very Underrated but He Beats The Schenker Albums. He Rules
ReplyDeleteHe is quite impressive. I think one of the best of the psychedlelic guitar players. I'm still more partial to Schenker and Chapman, but I'm still quite a Bolton fan
DeleteSchenker by a country mile, great flat picking, melodic and phrasing,Chapman was very sloppy live but a good plater on recordings
ReplyDeleteI would say Michael Schenker , too .
ReplyDeleteMy favourite LPs would be The Chrysalis Years 5 Disc Set ....
You just can't wear that stuff out !!
Schenker, the best of all.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the short lived work of Bernie Marsden. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernie_Marsden. But Michael is the best of the bunch. LIstening to Werewolves of London right now.
